what I paint on.
Today, Cheap Joes is having a sale on their Tung wood cradled panels. I love to paint on these and prefer the deep cradled ones. Since they are all wood they are perfect for encaustics. No prep is necessary, I start right on the raw wood surface with my under color layers. Keep in mind that when you use a heat gun to fuse the first colors will bleed up through subsequent layers if you do it long enough.
